Contact us: duy@xdev.asia. Please tell us your operating system, Chrome version, the extension version (shown on the Dashboard), and the printer model and how it is connected. Do not send documents that contain personal, health or financial information.
Where can I install the extension?
It has been submitted to the Chrome Web Store and is waiting for Google’s review. Until then, install the release build by hand: download the ZIP, unzip it into a folder that stays on the computer, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and choose that folder.
This copy does not update itself: to update, unzip the new ZIP over the same folder and click reload on the extension card. Full guide: INSTALL.md.
A web app cannot find the extension or cannot print.
The extension works only on websites you allowed. Add the exact address on the Websites screen, or open the web app and click Allow this website in the toolbar popup; Chrome then asks for access to that site. When the web app connects for the first time, the extension may open a window asking you to approve it.
Why does Chrome still show the print dialog?
Chrome does not let extensions list or choose system printers on Windows, macOS or Linux, so PDF and HTML documents always go through the print dialog, where you pick the printer. Printing without the dialog is possible only for receipt and label printers that accept raw commands over WebUSB or Web Serial, or when an administrator starts Chrome with --kiosk-printing, which prints to the system default printer.
Why does a PDF or HTML job end as UNKNOWN?
Chrome does not report whether you printed or cancelled in the print dialog, so the extension cannot know. The job ends as UNKNOWN with the reason PRINT_DIALOG_CLOSED.
My USB or serial printer does not print.
Grant the device on the Devices screen and choose it in a printer profile. The printer must accept raw commands (ESC/POS, ZPL or TSPL), and for USB the operating system’s printer driver must not own its USB interface. Use Test print to check the profile.
I build web apps. Where is the SDK documentation?
Install the SDK with npm install @tdduydev/browser-print. The API, the useBrowserPrint React hook, an example app and the issue tracker are on GitHub.
How do I delete my data?
Everything is stored in your Chrome profile. Remove websites, printer profiles and history in the extension, or remove the extension. See the privacy policy.
